It is expected that the bit growth in 2013 will reach 67.9% and the negative growth of the market capacity will be 28.3%.

Qimonda in 2008 before the financial crisis had still about 10% market share in the global DRAM market. After the withdrawal, Qimonda's DRAM market share is included by Samsung. In 2007, Samsung's global DRAM market share was only less than 30%. But in 2008 it began to reach 30%. In 2009 it rose to 35%. In 2010 the market share was even more than 40%.

DRAM industry is cyclical every three years in the past. When times were good, first-tier manufacturers will begin to profit, then the second plant will slowly profit. At that time second-line plant at least had profit opportunities. But now there may be changes every year. There is no rule to be found. The duration of the business cycle is very short. There is no opportunity for second-tier plant to profit.
