The Changing Face Of Lexus Dealerships

By:

Cars - It's a device that most of us use on a daily basis to travel to or from a place of work, the supermarket or a hundred other locations. Obviously not everyone has a car but for those of us who do, making a trip to the dealership can be a dreaded experience, but why?

It doesn't matter whether it is Honda, BMW, Mazda or Lexus dealerships, we all seem to avoid visiting these places for some reason or another, probably because we have had a bad experience in the past where a sales person has attempted to pressurise us into a deal for a new car. The hard sell, we have all been there, we have all had to fend off the attentions of the sales person who is behind with their monthly quota in the high profile, Honda, BMW, Mazda or Lexus dealerships as they attempt to persuade us to part with our hard earned cash.

However, if we spent some time down at these Honda, BMW, Mazda or Lexus dealerships we would find out that the ethos has changed somewhat from the old days. After years of negative press the dealerships have had to adapt to the clientele and they have thankfully realised that the hard sell doesn't work.

I recently visited one of the Lexus dealerships local to myself and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the harsh sales tactics had gone and instead I merely got presently with a pleasant presentation on the new features of the car, before being told about the prices and offered a test drive. At no point did I find the sales person intimidating or pressurising.

Instead, we had a good chat about the latest series and the only time that the conversation moved towards finance options and the option of trade in was when I instigated the move. It is nice to know that there are certain companies that pay attention to the customer's needs and demands.

The problem is that unless you make a conscious effort to visit a dealership then you are not likely to notice the change in approach from the old days from the old Honda, BMW, Mazda or Lexus dealerships.

All I can say is that the dealership is no long a place I dread to go. When I need to book my car in for a service, I can head down there quite comfortably without worrying about being pounced upon by the over eager sales person desperate to make up their monthly quota.
