Lingerie is the ultimate seduction tool, used predominately by one sex and occasionally in a jokey, slightly less intimately way by the other. There are no points for anyone who can put 2 and 2 together and get the correct answer as to which sex goes where! Its definitely interesting to think about how lingerie has changed over the last 10 years and
what styles different ages use and why.
For example modern "lingerie" seems to vary from either being streety to slightly more innocent and cute. Take this video from a designer, we all know what he is trying to sell straight from the off, but there is definitely an old fashioned influence in there with the almost blatant reference's to French Maids etc.
As you can quite obviously see
lingerie seems now to be about innocence but with a slightly naughtier side, an almost submissive feeling passes over the entire video. Compare that now to "classic" lingerie, which in a sense was about power, sensuality and indeed feeling.

A friend allowed me access to her thoughts for a split second as she described how it works being female and choosing lingerie - I think there are definitely some very interesting points made.
Most brands don't have my size. But when they do I chose for a certain sex appeal, or at least something that i wouldn't mind if someone saw it at least. And yes I do buy matching (although if i wear it together, that's another thing. I chose a brand that I would be proud to show the label of. I wouldn't chose something that was over priced for its label though. It has to do the job in enhancing my assets too, I wouldn't buy something just for the label or the style if it did nothing for me.
Its definitely and interesting point by what she says about not buying something for the label, with differs greatly to a lot of peoples attitudes when it comes to shopping for dresses. How many times have we all seen girls wearing frankly the most awful of dresses and then strutting around and bending over and seeing knickers. Its not pretty. Please stop.
Dresses should be pretty and dare I say it? Ladylike?
