It is important to take critical note of the fact that although you may be extremely tired of working for your boss, you must firs take some time to go through the challenges of being self-employed, before actually going forward and resigning from your job in order to become self-employed. Lack Discipline

The first thing that you ought to know is the fact that you will face a very heavy challenge in terms of discipline, the moment you become self-employed. The kind of self-discipline that a lot of people exhibit in the offices where they are employed is rarely enough to work for them the moment they become self-employed. A lot of people rely on their bosses to push them around, something that will definitely not happen when they become self-employed.

Increased Responsibilities

Another challenge that comes with being self employed is the fact that being self employed means that you really have to increase the scope of you responsibilities. When you are employed, you get great benefits in the sense that someone else does your tax returns and so on. You don't care about your insurance and things like those because someone else has been charged with the responsibility of dealing with them. On the other hand, once you become self-employed, you will have to deal with the issues of insurance on your own.

Erratic Income

The other challenge that comes with being self-employed is the fact that the income is usual very erratic. This is especially true when you have just started out and the business has not really established itself to a point where it can run smoothly. Normally when you are employed, the income can vary and your company can make loses for three years while you pay is being increased and while you are being promoted.

It is hoped that once you make up your mind that you are ready to get into self-employment, you will have studied the necessary factors so that you are better prepared to face any challenge.
