The Best Advice On Shaving

By:

Body hair may have had some biological benefits to us hundreds of years ago but over time fashion and social trends seemed trump mother nature. Natural or not, hair has become somewhat of a nuisance to many people around the globe. Shaving the hair off your body and exposing your smooth delicate skin seems to have sex appeal that doesn't want to curb any time soon. Because Shaving has become the norm for woman there are now many different ways to get rid of that unwanted hair.

The first and most obvious way of removing hair is by shaving. A sharp blade penetrates the skin exfoliating the hair and also the skin on the targeted moisturized area. Shaving has become the universal method of removing unwanted hair for its simplicity and cost. Razors are very cheap to buy but vary in their quality and efficacy. As the old saying goes 'you get what you pay for' so don't be surprised if you get minimal results from a cheap razor.

The last thing anyone wants is razor burn, especially on the face. Not all razors are created the same, so it's important that you understand a few things about shaving. The first thing any beginner shaver has to understand is the power of the blade. A good blade is a sharp blade; dull blades will give you razor burn and cuts, which will make the rest of your day painful. Some razors have multiple blades at different angles to insure that you get to the roots of your hair follicles. Other blades may include a pivoting head or a lubricated strips, the bottom line is that you will want to test out different blades to see how your body reacts to them. Once you find the type of razor you like you can then buy those razors in bulk and save a dime or two.

You can't separate the shaving cream from the act of shaving. Shaving cream will often times determine the outcome of your shaving experience may it be good or bad. Shaving cream will make shaving ten times easier with less battle wounds along the way. You can choose to go without shaving cream but you should never attempt to shave dry skin as you will pay the price. The final advice would be to use some type of facial scrub to do some pre-exfoliation for a cleaner smoother shave. Exfoliating is great for your skin and will make your shaving experience much better.
