Partywear sarees, Net Sarees are the current rage now. The fabric net with its mesh of large open spaces between the yarns was primarily used for making lace, needlework and used as trimmings in outfits such as ruffles, appliqu, etc. It was almost never the choice for making a complete outfit, until recently. Thanks to fashion trends, net gradually earned its place as a fabric option for making outfits, especially
partywear outfits. To begin with, net was used only as a part of the outfit such as sleeves, yoke, dupatta, etc., but it was the emergence and popularity of
net sarees that helped this fabric to establish and assert its unique place in the hierarchy of fabrics. Crepe Saree, printed saree, silk saree, kanchipuram silks, cotton sarees are few of the most popular sarees.
Due to the delicate nature of this openwork fabric, net can never be a good option for
casual wear or everyday wear for practical reasons. But it is precisely because of these same reasons, net appears to be the ideal choice for glamorous outfits or party wear outfits. Needless to say, this openwork fabric is quite alluring and drapes well. Thats the reason it makes for ideal partywear sarees. Further, the use of shimmering and glitzy embellishments adds to its beauty. The border of the saree usually features single or multiple contrast panels in a thicker fabric enhanced with embellishments or woven pattern. The body and
pallu of the saree reveals embellishments which shimmer and sparkle that helps in creating a dreamy look when combined with wispy net. Alternatively, there are lots of net sarees that show off
reshams or zari embroidered design rather than embellishments. Considering the frailty of this diaphanous net fabric, it would be wise to steer clear of heavily embellished sarees as too many embellishments might cause the fabric to tear.
