The Alexandra Headland Of The Sunshine Coast

The Sunshine Coast has a large number of really beautiful areas to go visit but there is one really great area for a family vacation and it's the Alexandra Headland. It's a little north of the Mooloolaba area and a little south of Maroochydore, and is widely known for the wonderful surf and immaculate beaches.

This is a rocky headland, all the surfers know about Alexandra, it's known as the Surfers Paradise on the Sunshine Coast. But there are numerous reasons besides the waves to love this area of the coast. There is a fantastic swimming area in a calmer area on the Main Beach, where there are patrols for safety.

Alexandra Headland is commonly referred to as Alex by the locals who come to spend a holiday at this very popular beach resort holiday. Alex has much to offer visitors as this region is not only known for its outrageous surf but its outrageous food and nightlife. It is a region that offers everything tourists desire without the over crowding of high traffic tourist destinations.

The location of Alexandra Headland is very central to a lot of the most visited tourist sites, making it easy to find your way around. If you stay here you have an easy passage to places like Ettamogah Pub, Cable Ski World and Underwater World, some of the more popular locations to visit while on the Sunshine Coast. In addition the Top Shots Fun Park and the Australia Zoo are two more very popular locations to visit for tourists.

Overall you will truly enjoy a holiday spent in the Alexandra Headland region of the Sunshine Coast. It is an area with lots of fun for the whole family, incredible, affordable accommodations and delightful natural and manmade experiences. It is easy to see why Alex becomes a good friend to all that visit her.
