The Affect Of Alcohol On The Stomach

By:

The action of alcohol on the stomach is quite extremely dangerous,
and causes it to become unable to produce the natural digestive fluid in the sufficient quantities,
which as a result, causes it to fail to absorb the food that is digested improperly.
A condition marked by the sense of nausea emptiness,
prostration and distention will always be faced by an alcoholic.
This results in a dislike for food, and is followed by the need or craving for more drink or fluids.
Sooner or later, this causes a permanent disorder which is called dyspepsia.
The distructive forms of confirmed indegestion originate from this practice.

HOW IT AFFECTS THE LIVER:
The physical deteriorations caused by the continued use of alcohol are often fatal consequences.
The organ which undergoes the most structural changes from alcohol, is the liver.
In normal circumstances, the liver has the capacity to hold active substances in it's cellular parts.
In situations of poisoning by different poisonous compounds,
we analyze the liver as if it were the central depot of the foreign matter.
It is pretty much the same in respect to alcohol.
The liver of an alcoholic is never free from the influence of alcohol,
and it is too often saturated with it.
the minute membrane structure of the liver gets affected, preventing proper dialysis and free secretion.
The liver becomes enlarged due to the dilation of the vessels, the surcharge of fluid matter,
and the thickening of tissue.
This follows contractions of membrane and shrinking of the whole organ,
in it's cellular parts.
Then, as a result, the lower parts of the alcoholic become dropsical.
Then, the structure of the liver may be injected with fatty cells
and undergo what is technically designated "the fatty liver".

HOW ALCOHOL AFFECTS THE KIDNEYS:
The kidneys also suffer due to the excessive use of alcohol.
the vessels of kidneys start to lose elasticity and the power of contraction.
The structures in them go through fatty modification.
This results in the body losing it's power as if it were gradually being drained of blood.

THE AFFECTS OF ALCOHOL ON THE LUNGS:
Alcohol relaxes the vessels of the lungs, as they are most exposed to the fluctuations
of the heat and cold.
When subjected to the affects of a rapid change in temperature,
they become readily congested.

HOW THE HEART IS AFFECTED:
Alcohol weakens the heart.
The condition of the membraneous structures which cover and line the heart,
starts to change and thicken, causing it to become calcareous.
The valves start to lose suppleness, and what is termed valvular disorder becomes permanent.
Those who suffer from these organic deteriorations of the central and governing organ of the circulation of
the blood, learn the fact so insidiously, it hardly occurs to them until the damage is far advanced.
Individuals are conscious of lack of power or energy from activities such as,
overexertion, trouble, disturbed rest, or the absence of food, after a certain period of time.
They begin to feel like they are "sinking" or dragging.
Wine, beer or some other stimulant will relieve their troublesome feeling.
They seek to relieve this feeling until at last they realize that this remedy no longer works.
The overworked heart can bear no more and has run it's course,
and the blood streams of the heart are broken.
