The 1 Biggest Dating Mistake You May Be Making

Now that 2010 and the new decade has officially started, are you still committed to your New Year resolutions?
Well, if like many of us, you fall at the first hurdle with the usual I want to. drop a dress size, exercise more, eat healthily or find my ideal partner, I want to encourage you to take a different look at this years resolutions. I want you to turn up the gas and make this the year you commit to loving yourself, just as you are.
Now, this may sound a little tree hugging to some of you, but I truly believe that in order to find true love, you have to love yourself first. This is the critical step that so many of us miss out when looking for our soul mate. Somehow we feel that when we find this person, that everything in our lives will come good and theyll love us exactly as we are. And this can be true, but only when you truly love yourself exactly as you are first.
Of course we all have some areas which need a little tweaking and improvement, but its important to realise that these areas of you have their positive sides too. For example, you may be the sort of person that takes a little while to warm up and talk in company, but the positive to this is that when you do say something youre likely to have others take notice as what you say is well thought through and poignant.
Take out a piece of paper and start by writing down all the sides of yourself that you dont like, then next to each one write down any positives that are associated with this side of you.
Once youve made your list, make a promise to yourself as to which ones you want to keep, and which ones you want to update or get rid of completely.
Commit to doing whatever it takes to make peace with every area of yourself.
Make the choice to change or accept them.
Not only will you feel a whole lot better about yourself, but all those things you want to come into your life, will fall into place far more easily than you ever could have imagined!
This can be an easy or difficult exercise, depending on how much you are currently aware of yourself, and how ready you are for change.
Remember though, if nothing changes, nothing changes and if you want to make this the year you find true love, you have to exude the side that is confident and accepts every side of who you are. When you do this youll find others love you for it.
