Technology of turbo charging is widely used in modern diesel engine. It can increase power, and is rationally distributed in the constant volume conditions. Meanwhile, it will greatly save energy. However, in practice, many drivers have no knowledge of diesel turbocharger, which leads to the damage of diesel turbocharger within a short period of time. And it not only can cause large economic loss, but also affect the normal use of the diesel engine. So, how to use the right maintenance to extend the life of
diesel turbochargers? There are three points we you should pay attention to.
First, ensure the lubricity of diesel turbocharger. Use the right engine for diesel engine oil according to the instructions, and check the quantity and quality of oil regularly. And then replace the metamorphosed or dirty oil timely, clean or replace the oil filter to ensure the cleanness of oil.
Second, ensure the high cleanness of gas handling system. You must keep the leak tightness of the inlet pipe and escape pipe of diesel turbocharger, the sealing of the regular cleaning and maintenance, air cleaner, check the prison nut or bolt is loosened, the hose clamp is clamped, check whether there is leakage of air intake system, replace if necessary sealing gasket, thereby to prevent dust and sediment sucking into the compressor. Otherwise, the dirt is easy to cause the blockage of air filter, and it can also make the passage of gas compressor and the blades of diesel turbocharger dirty. Thus it will decrease the pressure of diesel turbocharger, and even cause the early wear of diesel engine parts and blades.
Third, diesel engine can not be immediately running in high speed after starting. When diesel engine is started, it should be running in idling speed for a few minutes, and then speed up, otherwise it is easy to cause the axletree of
diesel turbocharger burnt out. Especially when you change the lubricating oil of the diesel engine, clean the diesel turbocharger and filter or replace a filter core element and park your car for a week or more, you must screw off the fuel inlet fitting after the start in idle speed. When the lubricating oil leak and then tighten it again. At last, the car should run in idle speed for three to five minutes before running at full capacity.
All in all, when you take these three measures, you can protect your diesel turbocharger, and extend its life.
