Teleseminar Tips: Finding Joint Venture Partners Or Experts For Your Teleseminar Series

By:

Teleseminar series involving interviews with experts are an excellent way to boost your credibility and earn money. If you are an expert on a particular subject clearly you can host a teleseminar series where you are teaching your subject but with this model you can vastly expand your reach because you can tap into your expert's audience. The experts you interview effectively become your Joint Venture (JV) partners as they will have a vested interest in promoting your event and you can also bring other individuals on board as well to help promote your event for a share in the proceeds.

The big question is how do you go about selecting and finding your JV partners or experts? You may already have a rolodex that would be the envy of anyone working in your field and, if not, you can certainly build such a rolodex over time. But there are other strategies you can use as well.

This is one of the advantages of Social Media Networking. Social Media allows you to connect with individuals you might not otherwise have access to. And when you connect and build a relationship with the experts and influential individuals in your industry they are far more likely to work with you on a teleseminar series. They may also be in position to recommend you to an expert that they have a direct connection to but you don't.

However, if you're not well-connected there's no need to despair. There are lots of ways in which you can find experts online. Here are a few places you can use to research potential experts and JV partners:

~ Clickbank

~ Goggle

~ Amazon

~ eBay

~ Technorati

~ De.li.ci.ous

~ Twitter

~ Facebook

Take Clickbank for example. Visit Clickbank's website and check out the marketplace. In the search box type in a keyword relevant to your niche and then see what products come up. The authors of some of these products are potential experts that you can interview for your teleseminar series.

So for what looks to be a suitable product can check out the website. You want to see how professional it is and whether or not they are actively collecting names and email addresses. The latter together with the volume of traffic going to the website will indicate the likelihood of the owner having a large mailing list.

You can do a similar search on Google. Type your keyword or keyword phrase in the Google search box and then check out the paid adverts that appear in the shaded areas at the top and to the right of the search results. Now you don't have to actually click on the ads as this will cost the advertiser and you're not looking to buy - you're just doing research. Instead simply cut and paste or type the URLs into the address bar so you can check out who is behind the adverts and learn more about them, their products and services.

In some cases those advertising may not be the actual expert but you won't know until you check so check out the organic search results as well for potential candidates for your interview series.

Twitter is another great place to find experts on a wide range of subjects. There are a variety of Twitter search tools available but one easy way to search for individuals who could be your experts and or JV partners for your teleseminar series is to use Twitter's own search feature to search for people. Just click on the "Find People" tab and then type in your expert keyword or keyword phrase. You'll then get a list of individuals who match that match your search criteria.

All you have to do then is investigate that list. While many of these individuals may not match your more extensive list of criteria, the fact that these individuals are active on Twitter is a good sign as it at least shows they use Social Media marketing and networking.
