Technology Really Can Provide Convenience

By:

It's amazing how much we spend on entertainment, accessing the Internet from places other than home, and phone services.

Movies cost up to $10 per person, and that doesn't include snacks and a drink. Some people don't have the Internet at home, so they go spend money in an Internet cafe, paying so much per minute, and they're very limited.

Of course, there's always the library to access the Internet as well, but you have a time limit there too. With phone services, many cancel their land line and just live off their cell phones to save money, but if you have a dial-up connection to the Internet, you have to have both the land line and a cell phone.

Now I know in this day and age we try and discourage our children (as well as ourselves sometimes) from watching way too much television. You want them to go outside and play, get some good wiggles out while in the outdoors. You also want them to experience different places and take them on some great adventures. There are many things to do out there, but these days it can get really pricey depending on what you are doing. With our economy suffering and many losing their jobs, sometimes people just can't afford to take their families out. How about keeping in touch with your family if they don't live close to you? Not many people take the time to sit and write an actual letter to their loved ones. I mean really, when was the last time you actually went out and bought stationary?

Watching movies from the comfort of my own home sounds a heck of a lot more appealing to me than having to deal with the lines to get tickets, buying overly priced popcorn, drinks and candy, and then finding someone sitting in your reserved seat in the movie theater. The Internet at home is so convenient! You don't have to worry about time restrictions and the next person waiting impatiently for you to hurry up and get off the computer so they can have their turn. You can keep in touch with your family via e-mail, and they'll get it right away as opposed to waiting for days or even weeks to get your letters. If you had phone services that included a land line and cell phone minutes at a reasonable price, don't you think you'd take advantage of that as well?

Being able to have all of these services in a bundled package is ideal. You're not only saving money and headache from dealing with different providers, but you're able to spend more quality time with your family. You're not having to deal with long lines at the theater or missing letters that the post office seemed to have lost while delivering it to your loved ones. Convenience is definitely a beautiful thing.
