SOUTHERN TANZANIA SAFARIS

I am a professional Safari Guide and founder of Rafiki Wildlife Safari.
"Tour operator and information Guide Centre to southern Tanzania Safaris"

MY EXPERIENCE ON AFRICAN WILDERNESS SAFARIS
Since I have born, grow up and schooling in a small village found on the buffer zones of the largest game reserve "Selous Game Reserve" I have life time wildlife experience.

I have worked to different local Safari Company to different park and reserves of Tanzania

WHICH PARK/RESERVE IN TANZANIA I LIKE MOST
Very difficult to say.... but I like different park/reserve for different reasons "but mostly I like southern Tanzania parks than Northern
Why?
Because Most of the park in southern Tanzania they are less destructed by human and most they are an discovered by tourist/visitor. that mean they keep their natural

Selous Game Reserve
"Teeming with Wildlife"
Ruaha National Park
"The dream of Africa"
Saadani National Park
"Where the bush meets the beach"
Udzungwa Mountains National Park
"African Galapogos"

SWAHILI COAST

Culturally and historically, the Tanzania mainland and Zanzibar is a veritable mosaic of ethnic and historical diversity.

WHAT DO I LIKE MOST ON THE WILDNESS?
I like exploring the animals

Exploring the animal can let you know/study the animal behavior in particular living areas
Like one day I discover bull elephants they are some time get bowered "as they leave on they are own (solitary)
One day I was in fly camp and I set my little tent under the trees in the cloud of the trees just on front of the biggest lake in selous called Tagalala lake, my mission was to weight and see animals when they came to drinks, and it was in the middle of the day time on the other side of the lake edge there were many birds foraging and fishing and also there was a goliath heron "the biggest Heron" fishing.

A saw one bull elephant coming to the water edges on the side of heron"
was very lastly slowly walking and he come very near by fishing heron he stops for while looking all around very lezzy for some minutes and he put down his trunk in water sucking water he lift up very quickly his trunk spray all five liter of water to Goliath heron, heron was shamed and very fast flying away. From that point I notice an elephant was happy to see that action and even start to drink, flopping big round ears that indicate he was happy to play that game.

SELOUS LION RESEARCH INVOLVING
To our every single trip I am traveling to selous, I use also to collect data for selous lion research project.

WHAT IS THE AIM OF THE PROJECT
The aim of the project is to get the accurate estimate of Lion numbers,
And more urgent is a detailed study on the impact of human activity on lion population.
With your help, research will help safe-guard the Selous lions for future generations.
