Taking Care Of Your Car Is Your Own Responsibilty

You have probably been cutting out on all your outdoor expenses for dont know how long; just to get that ideal, swift car you have been dreaming to get your hands on. And after months of that struggle, when you finally get to be behind the wheel, I am sure losing this prized beauty of yours would not be a good idea. So why not make an effort to keep our automobile off the eyes of trackers and burglars.
Some measures that would follow could be easily dismissed as being obvious but the truth is that howsoever silly they might seem, they are practically observed reasons behind most of the car thefts. The most stupid of them all would be to make sure that your car is attended to at all times (when the key is in the ignition), even if it means you want to grab that packet from the doorstep. Yes, it is not something funny.

Make sure your car is equipped with the most harassing and ear piercing safety alarm, which could be heard miles away. These alarms raise loud sirens when they detect a tampering with the steering wheel or the external locks of the car. That could help in getting hold of the culprit well in time. Tinted windows would be a safe bet when taking suitable precautions to ensure that only your garage owns the privilege of flaunting your car. Tinted windows make it difficult for the thief to determine if it has any occupants or not. Anybody peeping through them would amount to suspicious activity and thus lowers the chances of your vehicle getting stolen.
Keep any valuable articles out of vision that is, as far as possible, avoid the display of all those purchases you made at the gadget gallery. Keep such packets beneath car seats or in concealed portions of your vehicle. While parking your vehicle, avoid shady, dark areas. Such areas are usually targeted during robbery strikes. Chose a place with ample of ambient light. A well lit area generally is averse to those people with malicious intentions.

Leaving a spare key where it could be most easily tracked is the worst possible sin you could commit. If you are under the impression that its only you who keeps his key under the car, you ought to be sadly mistaken. Your attempt to save yourself from getting locked out of the car could cost you dearly. For heavens sake, roll up those windows. Open windows and closed doors are practically of no use. Come on, you have paid for an air conditioned car. Put up those windows and wextract some worth out of the money you have spent.
Some companies offer technology such as vehicle immobilizers. Such devices cut off portions of the fuel system or add some circuit breakers in the electrical circuit. Get them installed so that only when you disable the immobilizer, can you ride away. Get the exclusive vehicle identification number etched on your vehicle window panes and doors so that in case of theft, it becomes easy to locate your vehicle.

Also, there is a possibility that your car might get towed away. To reduce this probability, use the emergency brakes. All the above listed points are somewhat obvious, yet ironically, these are the reason for most burglaries too. Being careless is a luxury not many of us can afford.
Happy motoring!
