Writing is one thing that relieves your stress to go through the hard times and gives an end product that is not any less than a reward. It makes you understand things more clearly and makes it easy for you to have control over your emotions after you have penned it down on a paper. Love life does have more frequent ups and downs than other relationships one has in life so writing love poems passing through different phases of love is a productive idea which will also help you understand yourself, your lover and the changes that have occurred by time.
Remember, it is not hard to wake up our wisdom and assemble beautiful words our mind can think of to put forward a thought, it just needs focus to write poems; focus on your own self, what you feel, what made you feel that way and in the end what you want from your love. Representing these poems to your lover also conveys your message in a better way. These things that are needed to be focused on remain same whatever your message is. It may be a love expression, a complimenting poem or complaint about his behavior or anything.
But the purpose with which you have written effects on the style or manner in which you are going to present these poems to your lover. If, lets suppose, a man has written love poems describing the beauty of his beloved to praise, he may want it to present them in the most romantic way, for example in a warm summer night, standing on the balcony holding her hand and reciting the poetry to her in soft voice, that may also serve the purpose of giving a proposal if he is accompanied with a ring and roses.
However when poems are written to complaint your lover about his lack of care, or to remind him that he used to be more loving before, you may want him to read them himself, and may be, in your absence so what suits is to write love poems decently on a page of diary with floral background and place it on their cars desk board or in an office drawer.
If the only purpose of your poem written for your love is to please him and show concern than you may do this occasionally, noting it on a beautiful card with elegant script and giving it to him or her with a bunch of his favorite flowers, or a small gift you can arrange easily.
These poems will always give you in written something more than you expect, because this effort will be dear to anyone you will write for. May be if your lover is pleased you may have a sweet kiss, or if he realizes his mistake that you complained for he will start working the best to make it up again. Furthermore you might be rewarded with a yes for your proposal and the list goes on!
