Take A Look: Different Swimwear Styles Fit Every Size And Shape

Im lucky. I go to the beach every day, which is wonderful in many ways. I look for shells, watch the waves, take a dip, and keep an eye out for sharks. But the most fun is people watching. People of all ages and many different countries come to my beach. In the midst of such diversity, the one thing they have in common is that they all have on swimwear.

After days at the beach looking at swimwear, Im something of an expert. I can tell you that tankinis are quite popular this year. Tankinis, in case you dont know, are a cross between a bikini and a one-piece. The bottom is bikini-like and the top is long like a tank top. Tankinis are mix and matchyou buy the top and the bottom separately. Some people wear matching tops and bottoms but other people get creative with contrasting or complementary tops and bottoms.

Skimming through swimwear catalogs and websites Ive noticed new flattering designs. If you want to emphasize one of your features or hide one, these swimwear designs really do the job. I know because I bought one for myself.

Bikinis are back in style. Ive noticed they go in and out of style. In my day only extremely shapely young women wore bikinis. Thats not the case any more. Its wonderful, in my opinion, that women of all ages, shapes, and sizes feel comfortable wearing bikinis.

Now, you do have to watch out for the sun. The less you are covered, the more exposed you are to the suns harmful rays. I just bought my baby grandson a swimsuit with built-in UV protection. It covers his whole little body with a lightweight sun protector fabric. It even protects him from chlorine in the pool, which can be irritating to babies tender skin. I havent seen swimwear like this for adults, but it might be a good idea.

Flattering, practical, and stylish. Thats what good swimwear should be. And everyone defines that differently. Thats why its important to shop where you can try on a variety of styles by different designers. There are hundreds of designers of swimsuits.

Another thing Ive noticed is that many women have fun cover-ups to wear over their bathing suits. They are very handy if it gets a little cool on the beach or if you want to keep the sun off for a while. Not too long ago, terry cloth robes were the standard. Now, wraps come in all sorts of neat patterns and styles.

Price, well, thats a touchy subject. A bikini doesnt take much fabric, thats for sure, but it does take fabric that is both durable and light. I think the cost is mostly in the design. With swimwear theres no room for error. Thats why the design is so important. You can find swimwear at budget pricesthats what I do. But if you want high style, you will find yourself paying more.

Today Im fascinated with swimwear on the beach. Catch me another day and Ill tell you about the shells.
