Browsing through the markets in Jaipur, where skilled craftsmen display jewellery, paintings, carvings and colorful texiles, is an enjoyable experience for tourists.

Agra: Known for the Taj Mahal, the monument of love is a famous destination in India. Completed in 1653 A.D., The Taj Mahal built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as the final resting place for his favorite Queen, Mumtaz. This perfectly symmetrical monument took 22 years (1630-1652) of hard labor and 20,000 workers, Masons and Jewellers to built and is set amidst landscaped gardens. Built by the Persian architect, Ustad Isa, The Taj Mahal lies on the bank of the Yamuna River. It can be observed like a Mirage from the Agra Fort. The verses of Holy Koran as inscribed on it and at the top of gate 22 small domes, signifying the number of years the monument took to build. The Taj Mahal has been built on a Marvel Platform that stands above sandstone one. The most elegant dome of the Taj, with diameter of 60 feet, rises 80 feets, over the building and directly under the dome is the tomb of Mumtaz Mahal.

60% of the planets tiger population, 50% of Asian elephants, and 80% of the one-horned rhinoceros and the whole remaining population of Asiatic lion live in the jungles of India. The rich and fascinating wildlife of India can be seen in 80 national parks, 440 reserves and 23 tiger sanctuaries established by the Government, in an attempt to conserve this vital resource. India strictly conserves its wildlife.
