When panic attacks strike out of nowhere the person who is suffering often entertains overwhelming feelings of stress and anxiety. The attacks can be terribly distressing and overwhelming. The symptoms of an anxiety disorder is terrifying. Many attack sufferers agree that the sensations of an attack is similar enough to those of a heart attack that they fear for their lives while experiencing an episode of attacks. Although these disorder symptoms are intensely overwhelming, people do not generally die while suffering an attack.

There seems to be no real cause of these disorder symptoms, although the symptoms cause the body to react uncontrollably.

Symptoms can and will vary from one individual to another, however the most common symptoms and fears associated with an attack can include:

- Nausea
- Dizziness
- Chills
- Hot Flashes
- Increase in heart rate
- Pounding chest pains
- Breathing difficulties
- Claustrophobic feelings
- Stomach upsets
- Lightheadedness
- Numbness or Tingling hands
- Feelings of Terror
- The need to Escape
- Fear of Losing Control
- Fear of Embarrassment
- Fear of Dyeing

Fear of future attacks seem to be most frightening aspect of panic attacks. If someone suffers one attack it is likely they will do so in the future.

This fear is what causes many individuals to avoid particular circumstances, location or objects because they associate the attack with such issues. They develop a phobia concerning these factors and must learn to deal with them accordingly in order to overcome their terrifying feelings and symptoms. These attacks seem to occur suddenly and unexpectedly for many. Panic attacks can cause anxiety disorder symptoms. Once a person develops a pattern of avoidance and anxiety concerning any of these factors, he or she has developed a panic disorder.

The lives of millions of individuals are seriously influenced by these disorders. Seeking effective treatment is essential for healing and rehabilitation. Multitudes of individuals suffer from anxiety disorder symptoms. many sufferers are diagnosed by the time they are in their adolescent stage.

The attacks only last for a few minutes; however, these are moments that hold some of the most distressing conditions that someone can experience in their lifetime. In fact, the symptoms can be so terrifying that some sufferers believe they will surely die from a heart attack.

Anyone who suffers from these disorders can experience nocturnal attacks while sleeping. At least, forty to seventy percent of the people who suffer daytime attacks can also suffer from nighttime attacks. While sleeping an attack can come on suddenly without being provoked and can include various other types of anxiety disorder symptoms. Generally, nocturnal attacks may last about ten minutes; however the ability to calm down afterwards can and will take longer.

Although individuals are different and their symptoms will vary accordingly, many sufferers are more afraid of a future attack than many of their personal symptoms.
