Symptoms Of Anxiety Attacks - What Triggers Anxiety Attacks?

By:

The symptoms of anxiety attacks are extremely terrible. They can take place without any warning signs, and when they do they, are utterly devastating to the unlucky sufferer. Anxiety attacks (panic attacks) may leave the sufferer with a real idea that they are having a heart attack and that they are about to expire.

The symptoms of anxiety attacks, although extremely scary, can't do you any harm. In fact the symptoms are only the body's own usual reaction to the sufferer's unfounded fears of some 'upcoming doom'.

7 usual symptoms of anxiety attacks are as follows:-

1. Feeling of being detached from reality, disorientation.
2. Dizziness, light headedness.
3. Breathing irregularly, shortness of breath.
4. Palpitations, pounding heart, irregular heartbeat.
5. Feeling of tightness in the chest and throat.
6. Tingling of the fingers, feet etc.
7. Plus while you are feeling the physical symptoms above, you have a real feeling of some 'impending doom'.

(Note. While the above are some of the more normal symptoms of anxiety attacks, they can also be symptoms of other medical ailments. Always speak with your doctor or other medical professional first.)

Even although the attacks can occur without warning, there has to be an underlying cause or 'trigger'; which could have occurred some time before the actual attack. Stress or general anxiety is the platform upon which an anxiety attack is based. Then all it takes is for something to trigger the actual attack.

And so there exists two components here, the underlying general anxiety, and, the trigger that sparks off an attack. often this trigger is just the fear of another anxiety attack itself, and you may have this fear without even realizing it.

No matter how hard you try to get rid of your general anxiety: as long as the fear of another attack is present, there is nothing to prevent it striking again and again. It's a truly vicious cycle.

Plus, recurring attacks can have serious consequences for your overall health and quality of life. You need to get rid of the fear of the symptoms of anxiety attacks as a first step, then, get rid of the general anxiety.
