Survival Gear List

By:

Life is thought to be unpredictable; no one has the power to tell what will happen next, the next day or in the near future. There can be predictions heard, but even these things can't assure your greatest security and if you just want to be prepared in case of any emergency, you should know how to make your own survival gear list and you should know what to include on it. Survival kits may vary, depending on the kind of disaster you are preparing for, but somehow, the contents are quite similar. Before you purchase for the things you need, create a list for the must haves and you also need to upgrade your kit every time.

Safe Drinking Water - The most necessary element you should include in your survival gear list is a good supply of water. A man can survive for a few days without eating anything but without water, the chance would be very little. As long as the body continually receives enough amount of liquid, there's a greater chance for survival. Bottled water is the easiest and safest way to add water to your survival kit.

Food - Be sure to include food that are non-perishable and can be easily prepared such as canned goods. As much as possible, plan for at least three days worth of food for your survival gear, this is the basic. You should carefully choose the type of food you need to include and check on their expiration date for you to be safe.

Health-Aid Kit - If you are still asking what to include in your survival gear list, don't also ignore the need for the first-aid kit because you never know, what if you've got some injuries or wounds. And secure the following as the contents: varied sizes of bandages, medicines at various types, disinfectant, ointment, and gloves. You can also set aside a clean cloth or towel and if space is still enough, add some necessary hygiene supplies too. Check the expiration of the medicines first before putting them.

Those that are mentioned above are the three most vital elements in a survival gear list. They are all needed for one to survive, but still, they aren't enough for more critical situations. You can still add some electrical items like batteries, flashlight and a mini radio. You also need to include items like knives, screwdrivers, can openers, and the like. And, if you want to keep close to help, make a list of contact numbers of those whom you can ask help and consider also a map.
