Upgrading can come in three forms: (1) you can supe up your car without changing the way it looks, which will greatly increase its performance, (2) you can change its look and feel by adding features that are more for style than function, and (3) you can make both these modifications to your great looking Ford.
Supe Up
Upgrading the hardware of your great looking Ford can greatly increase its performance, while not calling too much attention from the unobservant. There are many aspects to the car that you can alter: the engine and transmission being the most important. Great looking Fords come with a particular standard engine for every model. The Mustang, for example, starts out with a V6 engine, but you have to option of upgrading to a more powerful V8 engine (at additional charge, of course). Having a larger, more powerful engine will increase a cars acceleration and top speed, and may even give it a better miles-per-gallon ratio. The Fiesta, for example, can do 61 miles per gallon with a 1.25-litre engine, but 64 miles-per-gallon with a 1.6-litre engine.
Great looking Fords also come with a variety of makes per line. The Focus, for example, has four makes so that you can get it either as a three-door hatchback, a five-door hatchback, a sedan, or a wagon. The Mustang comes as either a coupe or a convertible. The Expedition comes in four trim levels, namely, the XLT, Eddie Bauer, Limited and King Ranch. Different makes for each of these lines will slightly alter what you can do with it and how easily you will be able to do it.
Styling Up
There are other ways to upgrade your great looking Ford, such as adding features that dont necessarily increase performance, but add new dimensions to the cars design.
Adding a custom paint and sticker job is perhaps the most noticeable way to change the external look and feel of an already great looking Ford. To be sure, Fords already come with a variety of striking paint job options, but if you really want to stand out, then customizing the shell of your car is the way to go.
Changing the lights of your car can also make a strong impression on others, especially during night-time. While head lights are usually yellow, changing them to white can drastically change the feel of your car, since white is colder than the traditional yellow. Some even choose to add strobe lights underneath the car to give it a hipper, ultra-urban style.
Changing the interiors of your great looking Ford can also do wonders. Instead of using cloth seat covers, why not try high quality leather or suede? You might also want to upgrade your sound system and have a DVD system installed.
