Sunday Brunch At La Piazza | Delhi-ncr

What you see - As soon as you enter La Piazza restaurant premises at Hyatt Regency in Delhi, you are bound to feel the warmth of overpowering rustic surroundings. The ambience resembles that of Italian grottos. The lighting in the restaurant is dim and romantic. Theres a feel of an Italian caf in its setting. A glass door kitchen allows you to watch a wood-burning pizza oven dish out delights. From here, comes the smoky, authentic Italian flavored pizza. To add to the drama, you can see chefs exhibiting their pasta and pizza dishes.

What you get La Piazza serves a good range of Italian dishes, apart from wines. Afternoon is an ideal times to step in as they serve you a wide range of desserts and main course meal options in the buffet. Also, Sunday brunch has 18 to 20 varieties of antipasti options along with lip smacking pizzas and pastas. There is custom-made menu by Chef Alessandro Sandrolini adding to the magic of the Sunday brunch.

We sampled Coffee yoghurt shake (Rs. 175) which was a rich, creamy delight and if you like that extra crunch in your drinks, go for a topping of whipped cream and chocolate chips. For starters, we opted for Insalata di mozzarella di buffalo, Pomodoei, Bascilico e pinoli (Rs. 325). This ones a fresh buffalo mozzarella served with basil, pine nuts and baby tomatoes.

For the main course, we went for Aubergine Caponata, Mozarella and Precornio (Rs. 250) which was a baked pizza topped with herbed aubergine and mushroom risotto (Rs. 575) and Calzone di caponata di melanzane, Mozzarella e formaggio primo sale (Rs. 535) which was a cheese bursting aurbergine caponata (a cooked vegetable salad seasoned with cheese and sweetened vinegar mixed with sweet and sour sauce).

Our verdict La Piazza serves, arguably, the best pizzas in the business, not to forget wines and al dente pastas. Service is excellent and the staff is extremely well-mannered. Though the dishes are priced a bit on the upper side, the experience is worthwhile. Ambience, gentry and location are some of the factors which make it a good value for money restaurant. Their Sunday brunch is worth drooling over and is packed with endless varieties of pastas, pizzas and salads. We recommend you to call them and book the table beforehand especially if you are planning to go there on special holidays and weekends. Valet parking facility is available.

What you pay for a meal for two - Rs. 2,500
