A country full of spirituality and natural beauty can also serve adventurous souls? The answer is, yes. India is one such country where one can be pilgrim and adventure lover, both at the same time. From high Himalayan ranges to vast beaches, this country has everything. On our trip to India we felt rejuvenated and got back to our work with fresh energy. We especially remember our trip to the Jim Corbett National Park. This park is amazing and seems to have been established keeping in mind adventure seekers like us. This was a journey worth cherishing.
We started our journey from New Delhi in a hired taxi. On our way we got to see Indian culture and villages closely. We reached Nainital in the evening and had a overnight stay at a hotel. From morning till afternoon we kept ourselves busy in local sightseeing of Nainital. After having our lunch, we left for our final destination, Corbett National Park. After reaching there, we didn't have to face any difficulty as we got our resort booked in advance. The resort was quite comfortable and was equipped with all the modern amenities.
Next day we got up early in the morning and our resort staff had already arranged for jeep safari to explore the park. All the visitors of Corbett are advised to make sure that the vehicle should be booked in advance to avoid any discomfort later. We had our breakfast and reached at the entrance of the park. There the jeep was ready to take us to a journey of a lifetime. We were about to explore natures Paradise. We were given some guidelines before starting the trip. All of these tips must be followed for safety purpose. Authorities also appoint a guide with every vehicle. These guides are qualified and are aware of each and every corner of the jungle. Besides a guide, there was an expert driver inside our jeep.
We started our journey soon. The trip was simply amazing and unmatchable. On our way we saw many interesting species like jackal, Lion, Elephant and many more. But our wait of seeing a Royal Bengal Tiger ended with a loud roar of this king of the jungle. After waiting for around ten minutes, we were able to catch a glance of this beautiful specie of cat family. Tiger is a major attraction of
Jim Corbett National Park. We were amazed and kind of hypnotized by entire aura of the park. Surroundings were lush green and the park is surrounded by lovely Himalayan Mountains covered with snow.
After coming back in the afternoon we had our lunch at the resort and retired to our room for taking some rest as we were too much tired after coming back from the safari. In the evening we didn't feel like going out and therefore stayed at resort. We came to know that there are number of activities at resort itself to kill our time. I am a book lover so found solace at a small library inside our resort. Next day we left resort for trekking at a nearby mountain. River rafting was another interesting activity which kept us busy.
I must say that Jim Corbett National Park is great treat for your entire family.
