Suede Shoes In Mens Fashion

By:

Elvis sang out "Do anything you want to do. But don't step on my blue suede shoes." Well, the modern dressed man is not necessarily wearing blue-colored suede shoes, but there are many highly stylized suede shoes for men (the suede men's Givenchy and the offerings from Calvin Klein come to mind) that are the epitome of high fashion as well as suede shoes that are worn for casual comfort such as the types made by Sketchers).

There really is a suede shoe for any occasion. It is all a matter of personal taste. They can be used as a sort of trademark for a man, if he only wears suede shoes -both dressy for those high fashion moments and casual for knocking around.

Taking care of suede shoes is a bit more difficult than taking care of regular leather shoes. Suede can get stained very easily, especially if it is a light color, so if you buy a new pair of suede shoes, the very first thing you should do is treat them with stain repellant spray. Just give them a light spray covering of stain repellant and let them dry before you put them on to go out.

You will be very happy you did this later when a splash of mud hits your new suede shoes, because you not only have to clean the suede shoes to remove dirt and stains, but you also have to then brush the suede with a suede brush to make sure are the fibers, Also called the nap of the material, are lined up and going in the same direction, otherwise the light reflects the irregular pattern of the suede nap and makes for a bad look.

Suede is a beautiful material that is not only nice for shoes, suede can also be used to make a nice jacket and as a material covering for furniture, especially chairs and sofas. Be careful though not to wear the same color suede jacket, as your suede sofa, because you will appear to disappear when you sit on it.

Suede has a soft velvety like feel so it is really nice as a jacket. You may find your date unconsciously stroking your shoulders because it feels so good to touch suede, and that probably is a good thing. Suede is more porous than full leather because it is the inside of the hide of the animal.

This makes a suede jacket feel cooler and lighter to wear. Suede is more pliable than leather and this means the material can be used to make more fashionable shapes and cuts that you can achieve when using regular leather. But because of the porous nature of suede it stains very easily, especially in all the lighter colors, of beige and tan, or even light blue so that is the reason why the King of Rock and Roll - Elvis Presley sang out, "Do anything you want to do. But don't step on my blue suede shoes."
