Styles To Expect In The Women's Shoe World During The Upcoming Year

With the dawn of a new decade, it's really exciting to imagine the fashion possibilities that might be brought along with it. I don't think anyone ten years ago could have predicted all the current trends we enjoy.

New styles come on the scene every few years. For this reason, concentrating mainly on the latest developments in fashion is the most practical approach.

I'd like to take a look at what's in vogue for the 2010 season. I'm going to focus on women's shoes because I'm passionate about them and I know more about them than anything else. They're definitely what I like writing about the most. They're what I like wearing the most, too!

My cupboard's just bulging with shoes. Here are a few of my current favorites.

Anything designed by Christian Louboutin is hot these days. I love the reptile leathers in the range. They're bright and exuberant, brash even, but they are full of character and show themselves off to great effect.

I'm also excited about the Roberto Cavalli ankle lace. It's a fun boot in sleek black leather that boasts a fairly high heel and laces around the ankle. It's a go-anywhere style that can be teamed up with all kinds of outfits.

A surprising new trend lately is the thigh-high boot with high heels. Although not the easiest style to wear, they compensate for this with the stunning look they create.

Lastly, we have the return of the Hunter rain boot. When it's raining outdoors, rather than putting an old pair of sneakers on, you can stay fashionable with an attractive pair of Hunter Wellies.

On rainy days they're my first choice because not only do they look good but they're extremely comfortable, too.
