Stuffed Toy Dogs

If you or you child has any type of plush toy collection, it would not be anywhere near complete if it did not include stuffed toy dogs. There is a stuffed toy dog for everyone and the variety is far more exciting that in any other plush toy.

Dogs are not the most numerous of our pets, but they are arguably the most important. Apart from the practical uses from seeing-eye to guards of property the dog has a positive effect on the people around it. Petting and stroking a dog is known to lower heart rates and blood pressure. The company of a faithful canine friend is also known to aid in the recovery of the sick. And, because of the dog's need for ongoing exercise, it helps keep its master physically fit in the bargain.

In every age across the globe, it seems that people have in one way or another echoed the words of St. Bernard (c. A.D. 1150): Who loves me will love my dog also. Today, well over a hundred different breeds are kept as pets in the United States alone. Although their appearance varies greatly, all dogs are essentially built to the same animal design, not too far removed from their primitive ancestors. They are highly adaptable creatures and the process of evolution has not found it necessary to alter it that much. If treated with care and common sense, dogs can give great enjoyment. If your lifestyle does not permit you to have a dog, by all means, make sure you have stuffed toy dogs as substitutes.

It is doubtful, if anyone can be truly complete, who has not at least at some time in their lives kept and been kept by a dog. Like stuffed toy dogs, the real thing comes in an amazing range of types and sizes. There is, after all, a breed for everyone.
