Stephanie Rado Taormina Paints A Harmonious Presence At Agora Gallery

Strong yet peaceful, Stephanie Rado Taormina paints with the calm of meditation and the stability of stone, capturing a fine sense of balance in her art. In the intimate honesty of her smaller still life studies one finds the inspiration of Brancusi, as ornately curved and angled sculptural forms are delicately captured in ethereal fields of white. Boldly vibrant, these color rich works remain energetically harmonious. Enormous hue-soaked expanses fill the surface of Taorminas larger scale paintings with the immediacy of their presence. While she keeps a playful buoyancy in her marks, one feels the solidity of her forms and of their density. Working in oil on canvas as well as pastels and mixed media, she excels at creating art which is inviting and designed for life beyond the gallery walls.

An accomplished interior designer as well as an artist, Taormina has received recognition for her creations in both fine art and design over the course of her career. She currently lives and works in Pennsylvania.
