Step By Step Crafts. Top Tips On Choosing Craft Instructions

By:

Step by step crafts should be easy. You would think the very term step by step would throw up just that! Easy craft projects - or easy to follow craft instructions at least.

If you were to enter the term Step by Step Crafts into your favorite browser they is a high expectation that the returns will match the query. But your idea of what equals step by step does not always match that of the craft writer or site owner.

Do not be fooled into thinking that every site listed under your search will give you the easy to follow craft instructions that you're after. You need to do a bit more thorough research before you can be sure you've hit gold.

You've got to know what you're after. Think back over any difficulties you've had in following previous projects. What kind of instruction was missing?

1. Were you given a valuable overview of the project and if it was what you were after?
2. Could you tell, before you began if it was the right level for you?
3. Was it a photo?
4. What you need?
5. Was it the steps themselves that seemed less that complete?
6. Did they give you the right amount of info in each step or was it some kind of wandering paragraph overload?
7. What kind of gaps have you experienced before?
8. Was the layout easy to follow and easy on the eye? Did it look appealing on the page?
9. Was it professional or more suited to Playgroup?
10. Were you less than impressed with any recommendations on What Next
11. Does it seem as if the writer of the craft instructions knows what they are talking about?

If you know what was missing in past projects then you will be more likely to spot what you need in the future.

Craft instructions written by teachers will have all the important features ready for you.

Look out for those put together by those with an established reputation who are experienced teachers. They'll be known on line as Authority sites.

Teachers know how to put information together in a structured way so you are more likely to be successful. If they have not figured out how to share crafts in the classroom, the are not likely to get it right in their writing! Hungry crafters are hard taskmasters and any good craft writer will have spent time sharing their skills with others long before you track them down.
