Stay In Touch With Business Phone Lines

By:

Despite the advances in technology the telephone remains the best form of communication for many people. Sometimes it is better to explain something over the phone than it is over an email as if there are any immediate questions then these can be answered straight away.

The internet obviously and rightly plays a big role in the running of all businesses but all companies should have a high quality business phone line to ensure that when a phone call is needed that they have the phone line to do so. There are different types of phone line you can have installed and the one you choose will depend on the size and nature of your company.

Single analogue lines are the most basic of phone lines around and are simply used to make phone calls, receive broadband and connect to fax machines. Small companies and those not expecting many calls may get by with using a single analogue line and these are cheap to be installed. Multiline analogue lines are slightly more complicated but offer better services.

The Multiline analogue allows you to receive calls and also if a call comes through and the person is engaged, the call gets transferred through to another phone. This is something that larger companies will find very helpful as you are not always available to answer the phone. This way the call is still answered and a message can be taken so the client is not kept waiting.

ISDN lines go a step further and are 2 high quality lines that allow separate phone numbers to be allocated to different users. The ISDN lines also help increase the data bandwidth. There are two types of these lines with the ISDN2e and the ISDN30 and the latter is more powerful so larger firms may want to have these installed if they have not already.

LLU lines (local looped unbundling) are slightly different as the line between your office and local exchange is transferred to a different carrier. This is beneficial to have as it can lead to lower phone calls and broadband which all help reduce the overheads of a business.

Each type of line provides it's on benefits and should be considered when getting any business phone line installed in to the office. Think about what you are going to need it for and how quickly you plan on growing as a company.
