What's even worse is that 42% of these homeless children are younger than the age of 8 years old. What can be done to help them you might ask?

Donating to the charities in our country is one of the best ways to start helping these children. No child deserves to have to wonder if they will get fed today or if they will have a place to sleep. This is something that must cease here in this country, and it is possible to stop it through donating our time, money, and services to our local charities. The money raised goes to providing food, shelter, and the proper medical care that these children need in order to be healthy and happy.

Toys can also be provided to these children so that they can focus on being kids, instead of having to focus on the situations that they cannot control. Through these amazing programs, the statistic of homeless children can be reduced, which will help these children have the happy and fulfilled lives that they deserve.

With the help that exists here in America, the citizens here in the USA should focus on the immediate needs here first, before rushing to help those outside of our country. By taking care of the needs of our own country first, we will be in a much better positions to help others. This is definitely true when it comes to having more able bodied people who can donate their time and money to helping making this world a much better place to live.
