There is something undeniably enjoyable about the atmosphere of a good sports bar. Especially when that sports bar is the finest sports bar Chicago has to offer. Combining the pleasant feeling of community you might find in a British pub with the rancorous, partying nature of the windy city is a difficult task, but when it as accomplished properly the result is undeniably brilliant. On game days, there are few things more satisfying than the combination of delicious, greasy pub food; cold, crisp beer; and beautiful women. When the big game roles around, that is the perfect excuse to gather up a group of friends and make your way down to the local sports bar to waste away the hours drinking, eating, and generally having a great time, all the while watching the game and rooting on your favorite team.

Sports bars tend to have fairly regular levels of attendance, with the exception being that they will often see a spike in attendance when there is a particularity big or noteworthy game being played. As such, you will find that they do a pretty good job of keeping sufficient staff on hand. They can, quite accurately, predict the typically size of crowd that will show up on any given night, and make sure they have enough people on hand to handle whoever comes in. This means they will often have to pull in more of their workers when there is going to be a major sporting event, such as the Superbowl. The sports bar is a tradition that dates back almost as far as televised sporting events do. Though there are a great number of other types of bars available for those who seek them, and bar culture will vary dramatically from country to country. For example, the term cocktail lounge tends to refer to a much more formal and upper class establishment. This type of bar can quite often be found in airports and hotels, as well as in conjunction with many formal restaurants. A wine bar, as the name implies, is a bar the serves only wine, not offering any beer or liqueur. Patrons of these establishments are generally allowed to sample a number of wine offerings before selecting one they want to buy. Other bars, such as dance bars, are as much focused on offering entertainment services or activities as they are food, somewhat blurring the line between bar and nightclub.
