So You Have The Dreaded Runners Knee

By:

Experiencing symptoms of runners knee? Let me share my experience with you. I'm a young and healthy person who likes running, jogging, marathons, and other outdoor activities. When I stay active, I am able to relax and clear my head. So, I just about went crazy when I developed Runner's Knee.

I usually run every day, and once in a while I will compete or run marathons. Last summer, I had some serious pain in my right knee. So I went to see the doctor, who told me that I would need to stop running while I was in this condition. I could've slapped him.

We take it for granted that the cartilage cushioning the knee lets our joints glide smoothly. But with Runner's Knee, the knee grinds against the joints, which is terribly painful. That was what I was going through. I'll tell you, it's no fun.

So I armed myself with a book, a bottle of Vicodin, and started keeping the couch company. It drove me mad, mad I say! I wanted to get up and run, but my Runner's Knee wasn't going to let me do that for a while.

In keeping myself sane, here is what I discovered. You can only buy so many things advertised in informercials before you realize that they never seem to work! You can find a reality TV show for every mundane situation you could possibly imagine. Reading the encyclopedia from cover to cover is impossible.

Heating pads are proof that God loves us and wants to heal everybody. There's still nothing to watch, no matter how many thousands of channels you have. Thank heavens my knee finally got better, and now I can run again. I can only think of that few weeks of my life as 'Hell Week!' Well, I'm off for a run!
