Sneak Peek: Ninety-nine Nights Ii

Sneak Peek: Ninety-nine Nights Ii

By:

Ninety-Nine Nights came and went like a bullet in 2006. It was a strange game for a while was fabulous underhalding, with frantic action and direct minds sick special attack, but quickly demonstrated his not quite so accommodating current pages.

Although the game Posa insane amounts of enemies at you, and had some cool tricks up its sleeve, it had a big problem. You do it the same all the time, many levels was only recycling where you played through them again with another character, and worst of all, the game had no checkpoint. Died you had to start the whole level again. Now the somewhat unexpected oppfolgjaren on the way, and instead of the Blue Side, rez-creator Tetsuya Mitzugichi are no developers behind the master piece Lost Odyssey and it is not entirely successful horror game Ju-On: The Grudge is behind the development.

Dodsodysse

Let's have one thing quite clear. Ninety-Nine Nights II (or N3 II as it is called) is about exactly the same as Einar. It is about to kill the insane amounts of enemies in a fireworks display of light and flying bodies. Do you like not this game you come to outright hate N3 II, but if you have a soft point "alone against the ridiculously huge and the power of" genre, you should not look away from the fact that we have here one of the better play for quite a long time .

Basically, much of the old in the N3 II. You have a number of warriors to choose from, and they all have different ways to attack the enemy on. Some ran around with swords, others with chain gun with a large radius. There is however some striking differences. The first thing one notices is that the game has a completely new visual style. N3 II is dark and gloomy and appear on many points that a more vaksent game as opposed to the rather colorful first term in the series. At times it becomes quite nicely, but that's not impressive models that are the game's major strength. It is the amount that counts, and here you get just what you've waited for. For each kind you give as a gift from you will fly in hopetal enemies around you, and it is quite satisfactory to see the consequences of some light button.

Warfare with the sting

Feeplus has done more than change the graphic. It made several small - but vital - changes in the combat system. One of the most noticeable is how you now always have easy access to short-lived special attack. For each of the colored buttons on the right side of the controller, you have a separate attack that can be anything from sending shock waves to come, to sputter through enemies like a rocket. Common to these is that once you've used them you must give them some time before you can use them again, even if the time is not very long.

It has also been a drastic change in the Orb attack. If you played the first game you'll remember all the blue balls you pick up each time you kill an enemy. These built up a meter that could be used to activate some crazy attacks. Every enemy that died from these attacks provided the trip down the red balls at the end of life, which again built up a meter that you could use to enable an even wilder attacks that could destroy all life on the planet. Or something in the major.

All this you can now forget. You still collect balls, but instead of two feet you need to build up one by one, you now have a meter divided into three paragraphs. Have you made up one part, you can use an Orb attack, you have three joints, you can use the attack anymore. The red balls are gone, and instead you can perform different types of attacks depending on how you activate them. If you just press the Orb button, you'll be able to plow through hordes of enemies for each kind, but I found that by rotating the analog stick at the time of activation, even though I'm up with a completely different attack that made the cabbage on all enemies around me.This is strictly a much better system. It lets you use the attack that fits best to the situation you are in, and since there is greater variation in the area this time, it is a good thing.

Like night and day

N3 II appears to be a more thoughtful game already after a few minutes. It is unable to reach the totally great heights, but I noticed that immediately when I was quite skeptical, I was more on the slide after the fourth. Much of the reason for this was that I could not get the feeling of bitane to do exactly the same thing all the time. You will run in both large area and narrow hallways, which in itself is enough to change the game scenery. There is something else to fly like a whirlwind through an entire army, than it is to go away for a few powerful enemies in a narrow corridor.

At the same time a new game element that turns the whole thing on its head. You can work with a friend, and this makes many things much better. First, it is of course very fun to do things together with friends, but in N3 II has a great practical cooperation value. Should you die, you always have someone that can save you, and although they would not reach you, you need only wait a little while before you are back in full vigor.

This brings us naturally on to the missing check points from Einar, and if this is done something with. Konami representative at N3 II stations at E3 could tell me that the game has checkpoint, but since all I played was a multi-player mode that made the check points irrelevant, I can not say anything about how good or bad they will eventually be.

Conclusion

I will not say that Ninety-Nine Nights II is this year's game, but it may seem that Feel Plus has built up a game that in absolutely every point beyond predecessor with a very wide margin. The game is both engaging and challenging, and playing it with others is very fun. It makes them tough situations more than get a doctor, while there is some big problem if you were to die.

The graphics have been many notches better, and the game has a fascinating style with well designed warriors to choose from. Would you like another mass slaughter game for the Xbox 360 than Dynasty Warriors may Ninety-Nine Nights II seem to be a good alternative.
