Five Rules of Social Media Optimization Those Engaged in Small Business SEO Services
The original idea of Social Media Optimization was coined by Rohit Bhargava, in"5 Rules of Social Media Optimization", published in 2006. Basically, the idea is to create a website so that it is particularly easy for users to interact with social media platforms. Typically this includes offering RSS feeds and buttons for easy inclusion in social bookmarking services, or providing source codes for easy integration of the content on other websites. In 2010, Rohit Bhargava revised the rules and released "5 new rules of social media optimization" as an improved version of the original articles. The five rules covered the following areas
•Create exciting content
•Create-date content
•Create sustainable sources that offer the added value (e.g. top lists, trivia, entertainment)
•Use catchy headlines that attract attention.
•Facilitate the sharing of contents.
•Introduce buttons to quickly save your content. (Like-button, social bookmarks)
•Provide good descriptive and relevant tags to blog entries and pages. Automatically generate lists as required and position them as high as possible.
•Save your entries first in social bookmarking services and make them to assign initial tags themselves.

Search engine optimization (SEO) refers to the optimization for search terms on search engines, Google for example. In contrast, Social Media Optimization aims at optimising Internet services so that people find access to them easily and take better services.
Social Media Marketing (SMM) focuses on more the site itself rather than outside the site. While social Optimization results in optimisation of one’s own website, this boundary is blurred, because the results are offered through the RSS content from other sites too.
Spam
As social media engages in optimization especially on your site, this method is virtually free of spam. However, RSS feeds can be used to disseminate the reader of unwanted advertisements.
Opportunities
SMO offers a simpler distribution of one’s own content via RSS by two methods:
First, as facilitated by a brand to connect to social media, SMO gives the users of your site the possibility of reading your content and sharing them in less time and effort.
Second, such an open attitude to social media in general is positive and progressive.
Hazards
Just as satisfied customers can leave favourable feedback on your site, dissatisfied customers can show their criticism or insult you easily. This leads to unpredictable results so it is best that your small business SEO services are handled by a company with a proven track record.
