Site Page Tracker: Track Your Progress In The Search Engines

As you try to make your income pulling organic traffic to you site, you've got a hard path before you. While AdWords marketing can drive visitors to your site in a rush, it can also eat all of your profits and then some if you don't pay attention.

The miserly path to organic search engine optimization takes a good amount of endurance. There are measured successes as you begin, yet it is usually many weeks before you see any significant hits on your major pages from the search engines.

I don't know about you, but I tend to end up disheartened when I can't immediately see my results. I am so used to tracking two stats which are all but invisible for new sites. These measurements include visitor hits and clicks on my ads and affiliate links.

If I am going to keep playing this SEO strategy, I must start to track my progress using different stats. These stats are pages indexed along with backlink counts. Both of these stats will translate into good ranking for my keywords, but this will require some patience. In the meantime I can be glad as I watch my pages indexed and backlink counts get larger every day.

I created a PHP script to help me do just this. You enter every site you wish to track. You can even keep stats on article titles to understand how far your article is appearing on the Internet. Every day I just click the "Update Stats" button and it draws the current stats for all of my domains and articles. It even records the data each day so I can view my progress.

So be encouraged. Whether you use this software or you check these numbers by hand, your promotion efforts will bear fruit. It is crucial that you keep on track and find your successes along the way.
