The other day, while minding my business on the net, I came across a few Afroromance reviews claiming; not every race has a chance of finding love on this site that is hailed for being one of the best interracial dating sites.
One went: Afro romance boast that it is an interracial dating site but 85 to 90% of the white men there are looking for a Latin or Asian women. I agree , its harder than most people make it seem to find a white mate. Most that do date black women , date very fair skin bw. And another: Every time I check some profile, either Black or White men, their requirements is always: White/Caucasian, Asian, Latina women. It is SO RARE to find profiles that are looking for Black women. It is hard for Black women to find a date"
See I am one very dark Black woman. And I think we can all agree; the above statements that are supposed to be Afroromance reviews, especially the one about men dating fair skinned black women, are reviews that arent just exclusive to Afroromance. In fact, these are things that happen in our daily lives, even offline.
For a while there, I had that mentality that other races werent interested in dating Black women. Yes, may be most men on the site are looking for Latina or Asian women. But did you ever stop to think that maybe, as coincidence may have it, the ones within your search criteria are the ones looking for Latina/ Asian women? See, it reached a point where I stopped letting things like negative
Afroromance reviews cloud my judgment. And I decided to believe, no matter how dark some people think I am, I am beautiful enough to meet a man who believes Love is more than skin deep. Isnt that why we subscribe to this site?
I know most Afroromance reviews actually make us start believing that maybe the site isnt as interracial as we think that some races have more success than others. But when I read the success stories, and look at my Black dark self and the success I had, I think every race is covered on the site. And the success rate, either in marriage or simply getting a date on the site, will never be the same for all races. Its just a coincidence that peoples preferences on the site are what they are Its not an Afroromance thing.
