This world is so full of misconceptions and stereotypes that sometimes it's hard to step out of their shadows. Consequently, single parents have to face the same stereotypes that may plague its members.

It's true, being a single mum can be tough. In fact, the demands are often relentless, the sources more often than not are only few, and the conflicting choices are many. All of these factors, plus many more make up the stereotypes about single mothers. However, dating for parents is slowly but surely eradicating those stereotypes.

One of the biggest stereotypes that single mothers have to dispel is that single mums are struggling mums.

Many people think that all single mums are broke, struggling, and desperate. People think that these ladies struggle to make both ends meet and that they don't have time to properly date, or that they are desperate to find partners that they don't think much on their choices. This stereotype is wrong on so many different levels and that it's quite appalling.

Not all single mums are like this. In fact, MOST of them aren't desperate nor struggling financially. Like the way some married couples who are parents, struggle to make both ends meet; then yes, there are some single mums who have the same struggle. Probably the "broke" and "no money" stereotype probably stemmed from the fact that she's the only one who provides for her children, and thus no one shares the financial burden that she has.

But you know what is so amazing? It's the fact that these ladies are amazingly strong and resourceful women. They have decided to keep their kids with them and raise them to become good people. They work hard so that they can provide the needs of their kids. They sacrifice their personal comforts to make sure that their children are well-provided. This is a sign of strength and amazing determination. Because of this, single mums should be proud of what they have accomplished.

Remember that single mums are women who are strong, hardworking, patient, loving, caring, intelligent, creative, brave, beautiful, and so much more than that. A loving a lady like that, who has so much to offer would be a very smart choice.
