Single Moms College Scholarships

President Obama is urging moms to get back in school. In order to help them out in this troubled economy, his plan of attack is issuing a new program called Scholarships for Moms.

To start, he has raised the Federal Pell Grant to $5,500. The additional grant money will let more single moms attend college.

Obama is also increasing other scholarships by thousands of dollars to further assist the moms in dealing with college expenses. To those who qualify for the Pell grant, the $5,500 will go towards achieving a higher degree, allowing moms to find better work and stimulate the economy. Trying to juggle time and money for the busy single mom makes the decision to sign up for the on line option the obvious choice. Having a bad day, wait till it gets better before you start class, it is your call. Many colleges and universities have this option, along with schools that are primarily on line.

If the Pell grant was not for you, then looks at the $10,000 scholarship that is being offered. Due to the popularity of this program, only a select amount of moms who register will be receiving the scholarship. Back to school moms require the scholarship money to offset the numerous expenses of going to college. The scholarship program is two fold, aiding the single mom to go to college and get a better job and at the same time helping the economy to grow. The $10,000 scholarship will most likely not pay for the entire tuition for all moms, so they will in turn invest their money in education, helping to bring the economy back to a thriving state. In corporate business the degree determines the job and future advancement. Moms, and anyone striving for a college degree, are bettering themselves and their families. There is certainly a positive aura surrounding this program.

The America dream seems reachable to many moms when they pursue their college career later in life through the scholarship program. The connotation is that your home is your castle and every mom wants her castle. In order to have enough wealth to take the plunge into home ownership, one must have a stable job, which can be attained through having a higher education. When the moms scholarship program gets rolling the overall shape of the US economy will show progress.

Going to college for moms on a scholarship is like there is nothing to lose but everything to gain, why not. Scholarships for moms have helped to transform the single mom into a viable person with an education that can tackle the issues of business and live a prosperous life while instilling the positive input of a better future for moms and the US.
