Children who are neither Singapore Citizens nor Singapore Permanent Residents may register for admission subject to available vacancies.

The 2011 Primary One Registration Exercise is an exercise for a child to register for a Primary One place in a mainstream school in 2012.

Children born between 2 January 2005 and 1 January 2006 (both dates inclusive) can participate in the 2011 Primary One Registration Exercise for admission to Primary One Classes in 2012.

Required documents must be received not later than 24 of August 2011 for our officer to register your child into Primary One.


Required Documents for Primary One Registration Exercise


To register your child into Primary One, please ensure you have the following documents and notarise the documents if the originals are not in English.

The childs Birth Certificate
The childs Passport
The childs Immigration Exemption Order / Dependants Pass (if any)
The childs Letter on Outcome of Qualifying Test / Admissions Exercise for International Students (if any)
Parents travel document/Singapore NRIC/Entry or Re-entry Permit/Employment Pass/Work Permit
The childs Immunisation Certificates

Student Pass Application


A foreigner is required to apply for a Students Pass if he/she has been accepted by an educational institution to pursue full-time studies in Singapore, unless he/she is a:

Local Sponsor Requirement

A local sponsor is required for the application of a Students Pass. The local sponsor must be a Singapore Citizen (SC) or Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR) above the age of 21 years old. If the applicants parents/ step-parents is a SC/ SPR, the Students Pass application must be sponsored by the SC/ SPR parent or step-parent.


Long Term Visit Pass Application (LTVP)


Female visitors whose child or grandchild is studying in Singapore on a Students Pass may apply for a Visit Pass (for long term stay).

Eligibility

The purpose in issuing the Visit Passes is for the mothers/ grandmothers to accompany and look after their children/ grandchildren studying in Singapore. If the mother is granted the permission to remain in Singapore with the child, then the grandmother will not be eligible for the pass and vice versa.

Documents Required:

Applicants passport with at least 6 months validity
A Local Sponsor who is a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident above 21 years old.
Applicants marriage certificate, or if the applicant is divorced, the applicants divorce certificate and custody papers of the child (original and photocopy)
If applicant is the mother: Childs birth certificate (original and photocopy), passport, Students Pass card and Disembarkation/Embarkation card
If applicant is the grandmother: Grandchilds and grandchilds parents birth certificates (original and photocopy), grandchilds passport, Students Pass card and Disembarkation/Embarkation card
One recent passport-sized colour
If the application is subsequently approved, local sponsor/applicant will receive an In-Principle Approval letter that is valid for 1 month from the date of the letter.

A medical check-up is required by the Ministry of Health (MOH) for all applications for a Visit Pass of 6 months or more. The applicant will only be informed of the need to go for a medical check-up if approval is granted.

Processing Time
The normal processing time for NEW application is about 4-6 weeks.
