Im certainly not saying that the following strategies are not worth doing simply because they are free. Im just pointing out that you will have to invest your time if you want to see any considerable results.

I truly believe in the following four techniques and know they can be quite effective in generating free network marketing leads, so let's get right to them!

1. Article Marketing

Article marketing can be one of the most steady and valuable ways to market your business, but it is critical that it is done correctly. Article marketing is not simply throwing up an article on a blog every once in a while.

It is so important to do your keyword research first, so that you know what keywords you are going to be targeting and writing about. It is also important to syndicate your content, with all of your syndicated content pointing back to your original article.

Also keep in mind the use of anchor text, as well as sending your traffic to a website that is ready to convert that traffic. Its simply not enough to have them read your articleyou want to turn that traffic into leads!

There are many tools out there that can assist you with syndicating your content that can save you a lot of time. Some may be as little as $100 or less, while others may cost more, or even require an ongoing monthly fee.

If you decide that this is going to be one of your mainstrategies, I would certainly recommend doing some research on a tool to help you automate the process. I know doing this technically doesnt make this strategy 100% free, but it can save you a lot of time!

When I first got started in this industry, video marketing is how I got most of my first sign-ups. This can be a very powerful technique because your prospects get to see you, not just your website.

It's important again, that this marketing strategy is used properly. Just as with article marketing, it's not enough to just throw up a video here or there. Just like article marketing, there is keyword research that needs to be done.

I would highly recommend having a YouTube account, as long as you remember to treat YouTube as you would any other social networking site, such as Facebook. Meet other marketers, build relationships, provide value and share good content. Just like before, no spammy videos guys!

As with article marketing, there are tools out there to assist you with disseminating your content to multiple video sites. Just like before, do your research to determine what works with your budget and your needs!

3. Forum Marketing

Forum marketing can be a great free marketing strategy, again, when done correctly! Although, joining a handful of fourms and then pitching your MLM business is the fastest way to NOT get free network marketing leads.

It never ceases to amaze me the number of network marketers who do this. They join the forum, and put up a spammy post (no value, just spam). Then, they don't even bother to put up a picture or signature or anything. It just seems like such an utter waste of time to me.

You most certainly aren't going to be that person because you know it will just be a waste of your time.

Instead, join 1-3 forums, whatever you think you can commit to and manage. Take the few minutes to put up a picture and fill out your profile.

Again, as I mentioned before, don't pitch your business in your posts. Leave your selling for your signature. By the way, make sure the link in your signature offers people more than just a generic company capture page or website.

The purpose of a forum is to have a place where people with similar interests can go and share ideas and information. A forum is a great place to find answers, ask questions and also answer other people's questions. Thats what you ought to be doing.

Get to know other members on the forum and participate in the conversations. A forum is very much like a community and it is a good place to meet people and build relationships. Always be leading with value and you can't go wrong.

Earlier, I mentioned your forum signature, and I want to touch on that a little bit more. You have the opportunity to put a link or maybe two in your signature so dont waste them Most forums provide you with the opportunity to add a link or two to your signature so make them count.

Send people to your own blog or website in one link, and maybe a personally branded capture page in the other. Always be mindful to not send them to generic websites as that doesn't brand you as a leader!

By providing value in your posts on the forum and being an active part of the community, others will naturally become interested in you and will look to your signature to learn more about you. This is how you are going to generate your leads, so be sure to send them somewhere where you can capture their information, whether it's a personally branded capture page or your own personal blog!

If you are using a lead generation and training system, that would be an ideal place to send them. You will be providing them with value to help them build their own MLM business.

4. Social Media Marketing

This technique can turn into a time vacuum if not done properly, so be careful!

First of all, you will want to join sites like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn as a few examples. Make sure you take the time to complete your profile, including a picture, and don't make it all about business.

These are social sites, so you want to show that you have more sides to you than just being a network marketer.

Now, go out there and make friends. Get to know people and participate in the conversations. Most importantly, listen to others and find out what it is they want. Share with your friends, provide them with valuable information, don't just sell to them.

There is a time for business promotion and affiliate offers, but 90% of the time you should be sharing geat information and demonstrating leadership.

There will be an opportunity for you to provide links to your websites in your profile. Yet again, please don't be sending your new friends to generic company landing pages or websites. (Do I sound like a broken record yet? GOOD. Its really THAT important!)

Generic sites dont provide your friends with a place to get to know you better, and they certainly dont provide them with any value.

Sending them to your blog would be a great start. They can get to know you better, see the value you have to offer and sign up for your mailing list while they are there!

This will definitely allow you to develop a much stronger relationship with them, and from there, who knows? Maybe down the road, they will purchase one of your affiliate products, or maybe even end up on your team.
