Nowadays, we often see females wear jewelries compare to males. Like the use of earrings and bracelets. We often see women wearing silver rings or golden earrings, but it is not common to see men wearing them, we often connoted them as being gay, hippie, or a gangster. But stepping way back from many centuries then, even around 5000 BC, jewelries such as the one mentioned like bracelets or earrings, men were the ones actually seen wearing them. These bracelets then signified many things before, like in terms of power and religion.

Nowadays, jewelries are often used just to accessorize an individual. People wear gold or silver jewelry to match their clothes, and also as a form of embellishment. But before then, these jewelries were used to signify something, whether it is the status of a person, the standing in society, cultural or religious beliefs, and even the tribe or group that they belong to, jewelries back then were used significantly.

In this modern times, bracelets are not only seen in the form of silver and gold, they are also seen in the form of inter-woven threads, matched sometime with a piece of wood or stone, just like in the olden times or in some tribes, they are now known as friendship bracelets. Bracelets nowadays also come even in the form of rubber, or a plastic, called as a sport band or bracelet. These are only few however on some bracelets that were made from other materials other than gold and silver.

Golden jewelries were used before to show the status of a person in society. They were often seen worn commonly by rich people, kings and queens, nobles, high society group of people and the like. A connected reason for such is that gold is an expensive material, which can only be afforded by wealthy people.

Silver on the other hand, is also another precious metal that is commonly used for jewelries. It is far cheaper than gold, but the elegance and luster of a fine jewelry is retained. Many people are actually seen wearing a silver jewelry than a gold one. Reason behind this is of course primarily the price. Many people can afford to avail silver jewelries than purchasing gold jewelries. Silver jewelries can just be worn in almost any occasion compare to gold. And to add, the natural color of silver can be easily paired to a wide range of clothes and garments as well.
