The victim will begin to pull out of the world around them. They find it impossible to handle relationships with other people.

They cannot overcome their feelings of guilt, hopelessness and uselessness. These people become moody.

In some cases of severe depression people claim to hear evil spirits whispering in their ear.

Severe depression sufferers often turn to suicide to stop their ordeal. Only treatment and the support of family and friends can help.

Severe depression is terrible. Normal life is no longer possible.

Losing the ability to control your own life is terrible.

The only hope for this illness is treatment. A combination of psychotherapy and medications are generally used to combat depression.

Support groups can also help. Once victims seek treatment they can be put on the road to a better life.

They can once again gain the self-control they once had. To reach that point one must first face their illness and pursue solutions.
