Should Homeowners Wait To Refinance Home Mortgage Loan?

Timing is everything in some cases. Those get it right could gain handsomely. However, it may be a dangerous game as well. Success is about taking the chances when they are presented. When it is gone, it is gone.
There could be many good reasons why homeowners may choose to wait to refinance their loans. They may not be ready for many reasons. A good example of it could be that they would like to improve their credit score before applying for a mortgage or they may be waiting for money to arrive from the sale of another property to put in a refinance deal.
At current moment, the house prices are low on the one hand and the mortgage rates are record low on the other hand. Their house may not value high enough to qualify for the best refinance deals. This is a tricky situation. Would house prices go up or down? While they are waiting for an improvement on house prices, it may deteriorate further killing their chances of taking low interest rates.
Should they have a good credit score, but they see troubles ahead. Their credit score may go down with missed payments or due to further eroding the credit card limits. Running up to the limits on credit cards or applying for new ones would reduce the score. Any rejection of credit in the process would cause them loose more valuable points.
They may in fact know something that most people do not know. They may wait for a government program. Whatever the reason, there is no harm in preparing for a refinance home mortgage loan. They could still check their credit score and report and see if there is anyway to improve it. They could get online and gather a few rate offers. And prepare a short list of lenders, just in case they may need to move earlier than they planned. They could do all those free of charge on many websites.
