Should Children Beauty Contestants Be Given Botox Injections

By:

Aged 8, Britney was giving Botox injection as her birthday present from Kerry Campbell, a California beauty pageant fan.

As part of a three month beauty regime for Britney, including waxing and weight watching, Botox injections the norm.

Kerry Campbell does not consider the routine to be a very young girls sexualization. She says she is create the way for her daughter to have a life of fame and fortune through Hollywood.

"I know one day she [Britney] will be a model, actress or singer, and having these treatments now will ensure she stays looking younger and baby-faced for longer. Britney is a very lucky girl."

"I check every night for wrinkles, when I see some I want more injections. They used to hurt, but now I don't cry that muchI also want a boob and nose job soon, so that I can be a star," says Britney.

There are no laws to stop parents from tattooing their children, or injecting their children with Botox, which can be easily purchased across the Internet.
Lots of the young beauty entrants wear hair extensions, fake tans, false eyelashes, fake teeth to mask baby teeth, fake nails and even fake smiles. The girls then parade themselves in highly-coached extreme attitudes.

In spite of the frequent bouts of outbursts and hysterical crying, the final result is a weird illusion of child-women who seem much older than their actual age, while obsessive screaming mothers look on in total frustration.

The total cost for just one weekend is around $3,400. Besides the expenses of cosmetics, false add-ons and the injection, the priciest type of pageants require the entrants to wear extravagant costumes that cost hundreds of dollars. The minimum cost of a trainer to set up the contestant is about $100 dollars an hour. $900 is taken for the photos, which has to be put before the judges. It then costs around $2,000 to stay at the hotel where the pageant is being staged, including the entry fee of $400.

The only person to really gain at the end of the day, are the plastic surgeons with their expensive procedures and the sellers of Botox injections, if Britney and girls like her grow to think that a Botox injection, weight watching, waxing and plastic surgery sort out all problems.

That is to say nothing about the sexual perverts hovering in the shadows.
The question is, when things dont go their way, where are these girls going to find the answers, as their self-esteem plummets to zero? In even more drugs, as the girls try to deal with the long-term psychological effects?
