Short Love Poems In Spanish

Sometimes when writing short love poems or romantic messages, I’ll try to think of the perfect love words that describe the feelings of what I want to say. But then nothing comes. I’m sure none of you have ever experienced such a thing when writing. I think they call it writer’s block.

Every so often, though, I will get a flash of revelation, and the perfect word arrives. Except that it’s in Spanish. It’s kind of annoying when your audience doesn’t speak Spanish. I guess that’s the burden of knowing another language. Alas, my pain. I better not learn Chinese any time soon, otherwise I might get a sentence like this - “You are so sweet that I want your taste of FUNG! li,” which means “You are so sweet that I want your taste of pineapple.”

Anyway, because of these flashes of inspiration, I finally decided to write my first short love poem in Spanish. The poem is about the inspiration a woman can provide in your life. My iwfe is my greatest inspiration and the source of what inspires me for most of the romantic messages and poems I write too. I’ve included the translation below in English.

Unos momentos, cuando vencido me siento
Cuando no mas quiero arriesgar
Cuando me gustaria entregar la espada
Y cambiarla por una cuevita

Tu llegas para salvarme
Vienes para alimentar mi alma
Me respiras susurros de valentia
Que sanan mi voluntad quebrada

De nuevo me puedo subir
Y recomprometerme una vez mas
Me preparo para la batalla
Y regreso un hombre honrado

Some moments, when defeated I am
When no more I want to risk
When I would rather hand over my sword
And exchange it for a little cave

You arrive to save me
You come to nourish my soul
You breathe whispers of courage
That heal my broken will

ENGLISH

Again I can rise
And recommit one more time
I prepare for the battle
I return a dignified man
