Short Introduction On Hammer Mills

By:

Application

First, apply to milling brittle substance and medium challenging materials at mining, cement, coal, metallurgy, building, freeway and fuel-chemical industries.

Second, apply to not only milling creation line and sand creation line, but in addition changing cone crusher in mineral production line.

Structure

The primary functioning part of your hammer mill is actually a rotor having a hammer (also referred to as hammerhead). The rotor consists of spindle, disk, pin roll and hammer.

Working Principal

The rotor is driven by an electrical motor to rotate at a high speed in the milling cavity. Substance is fed into the machine through the upper mouth and then is blown, impacted, sheared and grinded by the hammer moving with high speed. A sieve plate is fitted at the lower component of the rotor. The milled material which happens to be smaller than the sieve opening size is discharged through the sieve plate. Feed mixer is also available. The milled substance which can be larger than the sieve opening size is resisted on the sieve plate to get continuous blowing and milling from the hammer, and finally discharged outside.

Fault and Remedy

1. Bearing Overheating

Reason: grease is inadequate or overabundant; grease filth is deteriorated; bearing is damaged.

Remedy: to inject appropriate number of grease; grease should really occupy 50% of space in the bearing; to replace grease; to replace bearing.

2. Oversized discharged grains

Reason: hammerhead is over-worn; grate bars are fractured.

Remedy: to replace the hammerhead; to replace grate bars.

3. Cutting down production

Reason: the gap between grate bars is clogged; feeding is uneven;

Remedy: to stop the machine to clear the blockage between grate bars: to adjust feeding mechanism.

4. Machine vibration

Reason: hammerhead is broken and rotor is imbalance; triangle plate or disk has cracks; anchor bolt is loosened.

Remedy: to replace hammerhead; to replace pin; to do welding or to do replacement; to fasten anchor bolt.

5. Slap inside machine

Reason: non-broken materials has gotten into the machine body; fastening piece of scaleboard is loosened, and so hammer hits against the scaleboard; hammer or other parts are broken.

Remedy: to stop the machine to clean up milling cavity; to check the tightening condition of scaleboard; to replace the broken parts.
