Short Hadith Compilation On The Afterlife From Heaven To Hell

Narrated Abu Huraira : The Prophet said, "Every day two angels come down from

Heaven and one of them says, 'O Allah! Compensate every person who spends in

Your Cause,' and the other (angel) says, 'O Allah! Destroy every miser.' " [

Bukhari]

Narrated Um Kulthum bint Uqba: That she heard Allah's Apostle saying, "He who

makes peace between the people by inventing good information or saying good

things, is not a liar." Bukhari] a mans speaking to his wife, or a woman

speaking to her husband, with regard to matters that will strengthen the ties

of love between them, even if that is accompanied by exaggeration.

Asma bint Yazeed said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah

be upon him) said: Lying is not permitted except in three cases: a mans

speaking to his wife to make her happy; lying at times of war; and lying in

order to reconcile between people. (Reported by al-Tirmidhi; he said: it is a

hasan hadeeth. See also Saheeh Muslim).

You must be truthful, for truthfulness leads to righteousness and

righteousness leads to Paradise. A man will keep speaking the truth and

striving to speak the truth until he will be recorded with Allaah as a

siddeeq (speaker of the truth). Beware of telling lies, for lying leads to

immorality and immorality leads to Hellfire.

A man will keep telling lies and striving to tell lies until he is recorded

with Allaah as a liar. (Reported by Muslim)

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Every child is

born in state of fitrah (the natural disposition of man), then his parents

make him a Jew or a Christian or a Magian. (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, Muslim,).

And he said: The pen is lifted from three (i.e., their deeds are not

recorded): the sleeper until he awakes, the child until he grows up, and the

insane until he regains his sanity or regains consciousness. This was

narrated by the authors of Sunan and classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in al-

Irwa, .

It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The

Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Allaah

created Adam in his form, sixty cubits tall and everyone who enters Paradise

will be in the form of Adam, sixty cubits tall Narrated by al-Bukhaari, Muslim

It was narrated from Muaadh ibn Jabal that the Prophet (peace and blessings

of Allaah be upon him) said: The people of Paradise will enter Paradise

hairless, beardless with their eyes anointed with kohl, aged thirty or thirty-

three years. Narrated by al-Tirmidhi. Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in

Saheeh al-Jaami

the hadeeth of Ibn Umar who said that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and

blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Be different from the mushrikeen: let

your beards grow and trim your moustaches. According to another report: Trim

your moustaches and let your beards grow.

Al-Tirmidhi reported that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of

Allaah be upon him) said, He is not one of us who imitates people other than

us. Do not imitate the Jews and Christians.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) had a thick beard (

reported by Muslim from Jaabir).

It was narrated in al-Saheehayn that the Prophet (peace and blessings of

Allaah be upon him) said: If a person commits a sin, then says, O Lord, I

have committed a sin so forgive me, He says, My slave knows that he has a

Lord Who may forgive sins or punish for it; I have forgiven My slave (

Narrated by al-Bukhaari, Muslim)

In Saheeh Muslim it is narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of

Allaah be upon him) said: If you did not commit sin, Allaah would do away

with you and bring people who would commit sins then ask Him to forgive them,

so He would forgive them.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: The five daily

prayers and Jumuah (Friday prayers) and Ramadaan take away the bad deeds

between one and the next, if you avoid major sins. (Narrated by Muslim).

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever fasts

Ramadaan out of faith and the hope of reward, his previous sins will be

forgiven. (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, Muslim).

The Prophet (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever spends

the night of Laylat al-Qadr in prayer out of faith and the hope of reward,

his previous sins will be forgiven. (Narrated by al-Bukhaari)

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever performs

Pilgrimage to this House, and does not behave in an obscene or immoral manner,

he will go back free of sin like the day his mother gave birth to him. (

Narrated by al-Bukhaari)

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The expiation

for the fitnah caused to a man by his family, wealth and children is prayer,

fasting, enjoining what is good and forbidding what is evil. (Narrated by al-

Bukhaari, Muslim).

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) he said: Whoever frees

a believing slave, for each of (the slaves) limbs Allaah will free one of his

limbs from the Fire (Narrated by Muslim,).

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Charity

extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire, but hasad (malicious envy)

consumes good deeds as fire consumes wood.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)said: My intercession

will be for those among my ummah who have committed major sins. (Classed as

saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood). And he (peace and blessings of

Allaah be upon him) said: I was given the choice between admitting half of my

ummah to Paradise and intercession, and I chose intercession.
