Shining The Rubber Suit

Shining The Rubber Suit

By:

Rubber suits are often used in chemical industries and mines while working hence the people who have to wear it regularly, need to do its proper maintenance too. Now the problem with rubber suits is that no matter how good quality you opt for, the rubber suits tend to have this 'matte' finish. Just as in case of leather, rubber suits too require care and maintenance to develop sheen.
Rubber suits can be treated with silicone spray to attain shine on it. Also, frequent rubbing with a soft cotton cloth can help the rubber suit look polished and shinier.

Using a silicone spray for shining a rubber suit is quite easy. Its actually a three step process as described under:

Step 1
First of all spray the silicone on one side of your outfit completely. Wait till the silicone spray seeps into your rubber suit. Make sure that you do not rub, wipe, pat or touch the fabric till the spray is absorbed by the rubber.

Step 2
Once the spray has dried on one side, turn the rubber suit to other side so as to spray the that side as well. This way you tend to cover the entire suit with silicone spray and have an even effect on the overall garment.

Step 3
Let the rubber suit dry out thoroughly and then pick it up and examine it with a sharp eye to notice any left out area.

After going through the entire process of spraying silicone spray on your rubber suit, you would notice a pleasing sheen on the suit. This process can be repeated to have a glossy effect on the rubber suit. But the most important thing to remember is that once you have managed to create the shine, you also need to sustain it by maintaining and caring for your rubber suit on regular intervals or else the shine for which you worked so hard would be lost in a short span of time.
