Shea Butter - Perfume Oils The Best Fragrance

By:

The origin of perfume oils can be traced back to the Mesopotamians, over 4000 years ago. Original perfume oils were made by blending, burning and soaking resins and woods in water or oils like Myrrh or Frankincense and them rubbing them over the body. They were used for religious ceremonies, to embalm the dead and for other rituals. The Greeks have been credited with making the first liquid perfumes without alcohol, stored in long bottles called albastrums. The Arabs are credited with the extraction of oils from flowers and herbs through a process known as distillation to obtain pure perfume oil. The Egyptians specifically, but many of the other Arab countries, have played an important role in popularizing perfume oils and have been instrumental to the contribution of todays perfume oil industry. Today perfume oils are also created in laboratories.

Perfume oils can be of two qualities cosmetic oils or manufacturing grade oils. The cosmetic oils, or body oils, can be used directly on the skin and are mixed with carrier oils which replace the function of alcohol in releasing scent on your skin (essential oils fall into this category). They can also be in the form of perfumes and colognes found commonly in stores. Manufacturing grade oils on the other hand, are strong and are used for making soaps, bath products, wax candles, potpourri, as massage oils, as air fresheners and for other scented products.

Using pure perfume oils has a wide variety of benefits including:
They are highly-Natural. These fragrances are derived naturally and are pure in form. They do not contain alcohol and therefore can even be used by people who are allergic to perfumes which contain alcohol.

They are beneficial for the body when used as massage oil. Natural perfume oils like lavender, rose and jasmine make for excellent massage oils and help alleviate a persons mood. These oils are usually added to carrier oils, like olive or coconut oil, and then massaged onto the body to help release body tensions and relax the body.

They are less expensive. Perfume oils are usually lower in price as compared to a bottle of designer perfume which may set you back a couple of hundred dollars. Additionally, the scent of perfume oils typically lasts longer on your body and is much stronger when compared to designer perfumes. In fact, just a dab of perfume oil may be enough to see you through the day.

They are healthier. Perfume oils made from plants like basil, pepper and/or bergamot act as antiviral, antimicrobial and antifungal agents. For example, basil oil is known to cure headaches, bergamot is famous for treating chicken pox, lemon oil is great for antidepressant, rose oil serves as a wonderful aphrodisiac and so on. It is therefore a good idea to have these oils at home as they can treat a plethora of health concerns.

Perfume oil should preferably be stored in a glass roll on bottle so that it does not leak. Keep your bottle of perfume oil away from heat as it may alter the quality of the perfume. Lastly, purchase your oils from reputed dealers or companies if you really want to derive the complete benefits of pure perfume oils.
