Sex With A Yeast Infection? Are You Mad Or Just Stupid?

Sorry about the title, but sex with a yeast infection can cause way more problems than it's worth. By that I mean that the very sex act can help set up a yeast infection in your partner. It won't cause it, but it can transfer it. And let's be honest here, sex with a yeast infection is invariably uncomfortable and oftentimes painful. First let's look at what causes yeast infection. Candida Albicans - that's what causes it. Candida Albicans is the name given to a microscopic fungus that lives in the warm moist areas of our bodies, such as the vagina, mouth and penis etc. But, usually, your good bacteria keeps it under good control. When they fail to do this, though, the Candida grows out of control (overgrows) thus causing the symptoms of yeast infections.

Their spermicides can actually aid the fungus to grow.
